What is Headline Fun?

Headline Fun is a cartoon community to collaborate and share ideas based on current events and contemporary life to in order to create funny and relevant cartoons. Click here to see an example of the type of collaboration and development that takes place.

Do I have control over cartoons I upload?

Yes, you have complete control and maintain copyright of any cartoon you upload to the site, and you may remove your cartoons at anytime. Headline Fun aims to license one cartoon every day to showcase on the home page and if the artist agrees to the license it may no longer be deleted from the site, although the artist still maintains copyright and may use or sell it elsewhere.

Do I have to share or discuss my cartoon idea?

No, if you do not wish to share your idea with others but would still like to discuss your idea, set Sharing to "Off". If you already know what you are going to post, you can "Finalize" your cartoon so no discussion may take place, and it will immediately appear in your personal gallery.

How do I get a cartoon to display in my personal gallery?

First, you need to post a cartoon idea. In order for a cartoon to appear in your personal gallery, you must "Finalize" it by clicking "Mark as Final Edit" anytime, or select "Yes" for the "Mark as Final" option when first posting the idea.

Are caricatures permitted?

No, caricatures are not permitted at this time.

Is there a limit to how many panels a cartoon may be?

Yes, please limit cartoons to a maximum of 3 panels.

What do the icons represent?

The icons represent different levels users have achieved for artist, writer and editor.

Junior Artist - 10 - 49 artist points

Senior Artist - 50 - 99 artist points

Master Artist - more than 100 artist points

Junior Writer - 10 - 49 writer points

Senior Writer - 50 - 99 writer points

Master Writer - more than 100 writer points

Junior Editor - 10 - 49 editor points

Senior Editor - 50 - 99 editor points

Master Editor - more than 100 editor points

Create new idea post -> 1 writer point
Upload new cartoon within idea post -> 1 artist point
Reply to idea post with feedback -> 1 editor point
